Rice with your soy sauce?

Sam as you can see REALLY likes soy sauce! Here he wanted to help himself! I had to pour off the excess, and it filled the bowl 1/2 way!

Pottery!

So, I decided to take a pottery class to help me with my creative energy. I was unaware that pottery was a totally different class than sculpting...which is what I wanted. So, I did things different. Unfortunately my sweet butterdish broke in the kiln. But these turn out OK.

Self Love

So, I decided to do a self love piece. This was difficult as I was, as I stated before, in a throwing class. I decided to just have a go and here is how my cylinder turned out. It was my favorite piece. It was my pottery group's least favorite. I swear, people here are such prudes! It is an art piece...not pornography!

Sam Potty Trained!

Sam finally decided to potty train when I was just giving up and thinking I would be changing his diapers until he was 50 or so. He fully potty trained around end of January and begining of February. It seemed the more I cared about him messing his pants, the more he didn't want to use the potty. But as soon as I stopped caring, and just changed him without saying a word about it...he decided it was time, and his choice. Wish I would have known that sooner! I took this photo not too long ago, I thought it was funny! He really likes reading as you can see! I believe my Dad has a photo shot of me like this around the same age!

Pinewood Derby!

Though an offical win wasn't David's he did win quite a few single races. They ran the cars like track heats. Most of all he had a BLAST!!!

Sam wishing he could enter the race! He did get to "race" his car down the practice ramp.

Pinewood Derby!

So, David of course raced the pinewood derby. David's car is the black one, he did everything himself except the shiny clear coating of my fingernail polish..I did that. Of course we bought the cars already carved out...we don't have the knowledge, skills or equiptment to carve our own car out of a block of wood. Sam's is the red car...he did it for fun as he wanted a car too.

Cub Scouts!

David decided he wanted to be a cub scout..so here he is in his uniform. I am not a fan of conformity or of some of the things they agree with as a whole, but...there are good things about it too. So, being that all boys 8 and up do cub scouts here, I decided if you can't beat 'em, join'em. I support David as he wants to be a cub scout.
